Armenia and Slovakia to engage in military cooperation

On November 22 an Armenian delegation headed by Armenia’s Defense Minister, Seyran Ohanyan, visited Slovakia upon the invitation of Slovakia’s Defense Minister, L’ubomir Galko.

According to a press release by Armenia’s Defense Ministry, the two ministers discussed issues related to bilateral cooperation between the two countries.

Further they signed an agreement which envisages cooperation in such spheres as military education and specialized training of the military personnel, military medicine, peacekeeping and exchange of experience in reviewing defense strategy.

Later in Bratislava Mr Ohanyan placed a wreath at the monument dedicated to the memory of the victims of the Armenian Genocide.
On November 23 the Armenian delegation left for Hungary where it will discuss issues related to bilateral military cooperation.
