European court to hear Armenian citizen's case

The upper chamber of the European Court of Human Rights will hear today the case of an Armenian citizen.

He is affiliated with Jehovah's Witness religious organization and avoids military service in the army.

The case had a few months ago been heard at the lower chamber of the ECHR.

The court had ruled that the previous verdict reached by the upper chamber is in line with the requirements of the Convention for the
Protection of Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms.
