No united Europe without solving Karabakh conflict, says EU parliament chief

Russia and European bodies should join their efforts to solve the existing frozen conflicts, including the Nagorno Karabakh conflict, Head of the European Parliament, Eji Buzek, has said in an interview with the RFE/RL's Russian service.

"Referring to such separatist regions as Transdnestria, South Ossetia or Abkhazia, I can only remind you, that the European Union is supportive of both Georgia's and Moldova's territorial integrity and the ideas of sovereignty. Without solving these problems, as well as the Nagorno Karabakh issue, we cannot insist that we are living in a free and united Europe," Mr Buzek has said.
