Fire breaks out in Yerevan center

A large fire reportedly broke out in the center of Yerevan at 10:30 pm on Wednesday.

The two rescue teams that immediately arrived at the scene, managed to extinguish the fire only after midnight, the Armenian National Rescue Service told Tert.am.

Some private houses between two buildings in Koryun Street were totally or partially burnt down. In total, roofs with a total area of 1,500 square meters were destroyed.

No deaths or injuries were reported. One of the rescue teams is still on duty at the scene.
