Armenian weightlifters win titles of European Champion and Vice-Champion

The Armenian team has won its first gold medal at the Under 23 European Weightlifting Championship held in Limasol, Cyprus, Armenian sports website armsport.am reports.

Lifting in the 77kg weigh class, Arayik Mirzoyan won the first place demonstrating a 341kg result.

The second winner in the tournament list is Aghasi Aghasyan who was behind Mirzoyan by 5 kg. Turkish weightlifter Semih Yachi came next, demonstrating a 325kg result.

Before the competitions in Limasol, Armenia's Junior Weightlifting Team had won one silver and one bronze medals.
