EU will provide Armenia with €32million by 2013

Armenia and European Union have signed a memorandum of understanding of the framework document of the Comprehensive Institution Building (CIB) program.

According to a press release by Armenia's Ministry of Economy, with this document the parties assume commitment to full and efficient cooperation within the program.

European Union will from 2011-2013 provide Armenia with €32 million under this program.

The memorandum was signed by Armenia's Minister of Economy, Nerses Yeritsyan, and the head of the EU delegation, Ambassador Raul de Luzenberger.

The CIB program is aimed at the implementation of reforms in the following three sectors:

a) preparation of the talks of the Associate Agreement, implementation of the provisions stipulated by the agreement

b) assistance to the spheres of justice, freedoms and security

c) assistance to ensure the negotiation and signing of the Associative Agreement and Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Agreement
