Mushegh Saghatelyan to start 'political stroll' in Yerevan

Recently released political prisoner Mushegh Saghatelyan will join tonight opposition activists near the Statue of Martiros Saryan to take part in the opposition's traditional "political stroll".

Detained after the March 1, 2008 disorders in Yerevan, Mushegh Saghatelyan was accused of demonstrating violence against a representative of authorities and procuring, realizing or delivering arms and explosives illegally.

The criminal court in Yerevan sentenced Saghatelyan to 5 years in prison, imposing on him a fine in the amount of 900 thousand Armenian drams.
