Young opposition activists to hold conference on Sunday

The youth wing of the opposition Armenian Pan-National Movement (APNM) will hold Sunday a conference in the Musaler Hotel Complex, APNM Executive Secretary Vahagn Hayotsyan told Tert.am.

The meeting will discuss amendments to the party's charter. The participants will also elect a youth wing board and a board chairperson.

The head of APNM youth wing, Karen Karapetyan, resigned on November 11.

Prior to that resignation, he had also quit the post of APNM spokesman.

Members of the parties represented in the opposition Armenian National Congress (ANC) have been invited to the conference.

The event will also be attended by representatives from the German Liberal Party and Friedrich Naumann Foundation, Head of APNM governing board Aram Manukyan said.

Ex-president Levon Ter-Petrosyan, currently ANC leader, is also among the invitees.
