Peter Semneby reiterates willingness to deepen ties with Armenia

Armenian parliament speaker Hovik Abrahamyan received Monday the EU Special Representative for the South Caucasus, Peter Semneby, Armenian National Assembly's press service reported.

Introducing his guest to the dynamically developing dialogue within Eastern Partnership project, Abrahamyan emphasized the importance of developing cooperation with the European Union.

Semneby in turn reiterated EU's growing interest in regional problems, expressing willingness to deepen cooperation with Armenia.
The parties discussed EU-Armenia rapprochement process and other regional issues and agreed that the development of parliamentary diplomacy and active inter-parliamentary ties will contribute to the solution of a number of problems.

Armenia's compliance with its commitments under the World Trade Organization and the EU Association Agreement were also discussed at the meeting.
