President Sargsyan, OSCE Representative on Media Freedom discuss cooperation

President Serzh Sargsyan continues holding bilateral meetings with heads of states and delegations, international organizations attending OSCE summit in Astana.

President Sargsyan today met with Hungarian President Pal Schmitt and OSCE Representative on Media Freedom Dunya Mijatovic.
The Presidents of Armenia and Hungary stressed warm and friendly relations between the countries which were further reinforced by establishment of Armenia-Hungary Friendship Group at Hungarian parliament. President Sargsyan thanked the Hungarian authorities and people for their kind attitude to the Armenian community.

President Sargsyan and Pal Schmitt addressed cooperation within international organizations and Armenia-European Union relations taking into consideration the fact that Hungary will assume the EU Presidency in 2011.

President Serzh Sargsyan and OSCE Representative on Media Freedom Dunya Mijatovic touched upon activities of OSCE structures in Armenia highly assessing them for further reinforcing democracy, supporting reforms and protecting human rights and freedoms. Dunya Mijatovic said that OSCE structures efficiently cooperate with Armenian government and NGOs on reforming media legislation, President’s press office reported.
