Armenia, Belarus develop business ties

An Armenian-Belarusian business conference was held in Yerevan on Wednesday, December 2. The Belarusian delegation attending the event included Head of that country's Trade Chamber Vasily Romanov.

The participants representing both sides expressed willingness to deepen cooperation between their countries' trade chambers and establish business ties with one another.

Head of Armenian Trade Chamber Martin Sargsyan attached a major importance to the conference, saying that it will promote more active cooperation between the two countries.

Over the past 9 months of 2010, the trade between Armenia and Ukraine made $29.3 million, compared with the $30.69 million recorded last year.

The products exported from Armenia include mainly fruit juice, vegetables, drinks, jewelry, medicines, mineral stones, fruits etc.
Armenia imports milk powder, butter, milk pastes, as well as tractors, excavators etc from Belarus.

The trade will grow in future.

Armenia currently has two enterprises funded by Armenian-Belarusian joint capital. Armenian-Belarusian trade center "AR-BE" opened in Yerevan this year.
