Armenian National Gallery to host exhibition of Salvador Dali's paintings

The National Gallery of Armenia is conducting negotiations with foreign art managers for organizing surrealist artists' exhibition in Armenia, National Gallery Director Paravon Mirzoyan told a news conference on Thursday.

He said a preliminary agreement has been reached for displaying famous artists' work in May 2011. The exhibition will comprise canvases by Salvador Dali and other surrealists, as well as the masterpieces by French, Dutch and German artists.

Summing up the achievements of the current year, Mirzoyan spoke of national gallery's exhibitions, particularly "The Two Colors of Rainbow" held in Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts and the recent exhibition dedicated to Vardges Surenyants 150th jubilee.
Earlier, National Art Gallery also organized exhibitions dedicated to Vagharshak Elbakyan and Hovsep Karapetyan's 100th birthdays.
