Turkish party to sue Erdogan over WikiLeaks allegations

Turkish party Liberation of the People has said it will sue Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan over the allegations by the secret US cables made public by the website WikiLeaks.

The documents unveiled by WikiLeaks said Erdogan has bank accounts in Switzerland and has taken part in a series of wrongdoings.

According to Turkish daily Vatan, Tajeti Kochak, the party's Deputy President, said they want to find out at the court whether or not the WikiLeaks allegations are true.

Erdogan has dismissed all the allegations as untrue, saying he does not have any bank account in Switzerland and that he is ready to resign, if proved otherwise.
