Levon Ter-Petrosyan delivers speech at opposition party's meeting

The first president of Armenia and leader of Armenian National Congress (ANC), Levon Ter-Petrosyan, has started his speech at the regular meeting of the People's Party of Armenia.

Appreciating the party's role in Armenia's political life, he particularly spoke of its participation in national elections.

"Without the People's Party, neither the pan-national movement nor the ANC would enjoy the power they have now," he said, calling on the party members to keep up their efforts.

He said the meeting was a good occasion for not only praising the party but also arguing the authorities' claims that ANC is deprived of ideology.
