'Gang boss' attended Russian president's inauguration

ցThe boss of a gang group in Krasnodar appears to have attended Russian President Dmitry Medvedev's inauguration in 2008.

According to the Russian-language investigative newspaper Novaya Gazeta, Sergei Tsapok was invited to the ceremony together
with the delegation headed by Alexander Tkachev, the Governor of Krasnodar region.

The newspaper has published a picture on its front page which it claims shows gangster Tsapok (marked in a red circle in the photo) attending the 2008 ceremony.

Tsapok was arrested in connection with the murders, which included the killing of four children and 10 adults on November 5, 2010.

The bodies of the killed had been found in the town Kushnevskaya in Krasnodar region.

Other members of the 30-strong gang had also been arrested.

The investigation has found out that the gang included also two Armenians – Arman Sargsyan and G. Gevorgyan.

The gang is accused of a series of murders and 220 rapes.

Sergei Tsapok, who holds a doctorate in sociology, had said in the first testimony that he wanted to show the inexperienced members of his gang how a person should be killed.
