Brazilian pianist to give concert in Yerevan

The Embassy of Brazil in Yerevan, the Armenian Ministry of Culture and the Armenian Philharmonic Orchestra have organized a concert in Yerevan with the participation of Brazilian pianist Maria Jose Carrasquiera and the Armenian Philharmonic Orchestra.
The concert will be held on December 10 in Aram Khachaturian Concert Hall.

Renowned Brazilian pianist and professor, Maria Jose Carrasquiera began her musical education with her flutist father, professor Joao Dias Carrasquiera. This was followed by specialized piano and music classes with famous Brazilian masters. Later Carrasquiera furthered her education in Europe, studying with B. Seidlhoffer, E, Richepin, H. Datyner, D. Rossiaud etc.

The first movement of the concert was composed in 1991 as Concert performance written for piano and symphonic band. In 1997, Villani transformed the Concert performance into a Piano and Symphonic Orchestra Concert by adding the second and the third movements.
