Protests against foreign language schools held outside parliament

Members of "We are against the Re-opening of Foreign Language Schools" initiative gathered today in front of the National Assembly, calling for the withdrawal of the amended draft laws on language and public education.

The discussion over the draft laws may be rescheduled for tomorrow.

"We know the draft laws will be discussed today, that's why we have gathered here to urge the parliament to vote down the bills, although we'd prefer the government withdrew them and took measures to enhance the quality of education, making it accessible to all," one of the protesters said.
