One more political prisoner released

Political prisoner and member of the opposition Armenian National Congress (ANC) Felix Gevorgyan has been released. His friends and relatives gathered today outside Erebuni penitentiary to meet him.

"Condemned and imprisoned on illegal charges, Felix Gevorgyan was released thanks to pressures from inside and outside," ANC activist Tigran Arakelyan told Tert.am.

"After Gevorgyan's release, the number of political prisoners was reduced to nine. I think the others too will be released in the near future," he said.
