Armenian citizen jailed in Turkey

Armenian citizen Angela Tagvoryan has been arrested in Turkey while attempting to steal a coat from a clothing store, the Turkish news agency Dogan reported.

Angela, 30, reportedly entered the shop without a coat and taking a jacket from a mannequin tried to go out, pretending that the cloth belonged to her. Noticing the thief, however, the shop owner immediately contacted the police.

After being arrested, the suspect, currently residing and working in Turkey, tried to explain to the policemen that she had forgotten to pay for the coat.

An investigation has been launched to clarify the circumstances of the matter.
