Parliament will not be dissolved – Republican MP

Razmik Zohrabyan of the Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) faction in parliament convened a news conference on Monday to talk about the National Assembly's activities and the recent rumors on President Serzh Sargsyan's alleged plans to dissolve the parliament.

"There are no constitutional grounds for dissolving the parliament," he said, adding that the current parliament works better than the previous one.

Arguing with him, member of opposition Armenian National Congress (ANC) Vahagn Khachatryan said the president can actually dissolve the parliament any time he wants.

"Serzh Sargsyan's desire serves as serious grounds for you," he said.
