Prosperous Armenia appoints new MP in parliament

Aragats Akhoyan of Prosperous Armenia party (PAP) will replace Arevik Petrosyan in parliament, member of PAP parliamentary faction Naira Zohrabyan told Tert.am.

"In a discussion held a couple of days ago, the party decided that Akhoyan will replace Arevik Petrosyan," she said.
Asked why the other candidates who were higher on the electoral roll were not considered, Zohrabyan said it was a unanimous decision.

Earlier, President Serzh Sargsyan appointed Arevik Petrosyan a member of the Constitutional Court. Rumors went that her seat in parliament might be occupied by actor Guzh Manukyan or the owner of the "Armenia" mall, Hayrapet Hayrapetyan.
