Armenia opens regional IT center

Synergy International Systems, Inc/ Armenia Service has opened a business office in Yerevan.

The company offers full software packages and IT services.

Founded in 1999, the Synergy International Systems, Inc/ Armenia Service, the Armenian branch of Synergy International Systems, initially had only five employees in Armenia. But it has gradually expanded and currently employs 120 people.

The building of the IT centre, considered a regional one, had been necessitated by the company's expansion to several countries in Asia, Middle East, Eastern Europe and CIS countries in recent years.

The center is expected to deliver services to those countries and organize training for specialists from there. It is also expected to create 130 more jobs.

Synergy International Systems, Inc/ Armenia Service provides the clients from about 30 countries with Synergy's highly-demanded software packages.

Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan was also present at the opening of the new building.

The president was elaborated on the working conditions at the business centre, the company's current activities and future plans.

US Ambassador to Armenia, Marie Yovanovitch, Armenia's Minister of Economy, Nerses Yeritsyan, and acting Mayor of Yerevan Taron Margaryan also attended the ceremony.

Synergy International Systems was founded in 1997 in Virginia, US, and is active in the Central America, Caribbean Basin, Europe, Asia, Middle East and several countries in Africa.
