Pink Panther writer-director dies at 88

Blake Edwards, best known as the writer-director of The Pink Panther movies starring Peter Sellers, died Thursday at age 88, Daily Variety reported.

Edwards directed and in some cases wrote a number of Hollywood classics, including Breakfast at Tiffany's, Days of Wine and Roses, The Great Race, 10, Darling Lili, and Victor Victoria, the latter two starring his wife, Julie Andrews.
