Armenian grand master leads Bansko tournament
Armenian GM Avetik Grigoryan leads the Open Chess Tournament in Bansko, Bulgaria, the Armenian sports website Armsport.am reported.
After making peace with Israel's Tamir Nabati in the second round, the Armenian sportsman scored six points on Friday, sharing the top position with the Israeli representative.
Ivan Cheparin ended both matches in a draw, falling behind the tournament leaders.
The eighth round of the competitions is due on Saturday.
