Armenian defense minister receives joint advisory group members from US and UK

Armenian Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyan received today members of the US and UK joint advisory group conducting a strategic review of the country's defense policy.

The parties discussed the recent progress in the strategic review activities, as well as agreed on the fields that will need advisory assistance in 2011.

The advisory group is on a visit to Armenia from December 13 to 18. Its meetings with representatives from Defense Ministry and Armed Forces subdivisions focused on finalizing the reforms phase of the strategic review program. The last phase concerned with public awareness raising was also discussed.
