Man killed by Moscow police possibly Armenian
A recent clash between the Moscow police and three masked individuals has left one person dead, the Russian media reported, referring to a statement posted on the official website of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Prosecutor General's Office.
"While performing their duties, a group of police officers saw three masked individuals running away in the vicinity of a building in Govorv Street. They were holding objects resembling handguns. The policemen heard the running men shoot at a car, and decided to catch them. But disobeying the police orders, the men kept running. Then a member of the police group noticed one of the masked men pointing his pistol at him and opened fire from his service gun. The man was injured on the head and died immediately," says the statement.
The policemen found a VAZ-2106 car; two Armenian passports and a driving license, also belonging to an Armenian citizen, were in the car. They also discovered a pneumatic gun.
An investigation has been launched. Police are working to determine the identity of the killed individual. They have also launched a search for the two others at large.
