The ceasefire regime on the Nagorno Karabakh-Azerbaijan contact line was violated more than 50 times after midnight on December 19, with the gunshots being mainly directed to the south-eastern, eastern and north-eastern sections of Karabakh defense positions, reported the press service of the Nagorno Karabakh Defense Army.

"The Azerbaijani propaganda attempts to shift the blame on the Armenian side, alleging that Karabakh defense subdivision released gunshots from the artillery in the direction of Talish village at 9:15 pm on December 17," the ministry says in a news release.

"That's yet another provocation by the Azerbaijani propaganda, which is aimed at convincing the international community that Defense Army is an aggressor. Our subdivisions have always shown respect for the ceasefire accord," says the statement.

Commenting on the recent explosions in Borsunlu village (Terter region), the head of the Defense Army's PR Department, Colonel Senor Harutyunyan, said they resulted from an emergency incident in one of the frontier arsenals of the Azerbaijani army.
