Orange-Armenia and and Shen NGO continue implementing charitable projects in Tavush region
Orange-Armenia mobile operator, in cooperation with “Shen” Charitable NGO, continues the implementation of charitable projects directed to development of rural communities in Armenia.
In the frames of a recent joint initiative in Tavush regions, they re-equipped gyms in the secondary schools of Noyemberyan city and Jujevan village were opened.
The new gyms can now fully meet the requirements of the physical training curricula in both schools.
Bruno Duthoit, Orange CEO said: “As a company which plays a key role in the country's economy, we want to have our investment not only in telecommunication sector, but also in other spheres. Our charitable projects are focused on children as well as vulnerable rural communities. The fact that apart from “Shen” NGO, communities also participated in the project is very important for us.”.
Orange has allocated a total sum of 5,607,000 AMD for both projects.
By the co-funding of USAID, CHF, World Vision and UNDP, Orange and “Shen” NGO, a repaired kindergarten in Sevqar village of the region re-opened last month, hosting 62 children. Orange Armenia had invested AMD 4,660,000 in the project.
