Not even ANC believes early election possible, says ruling party spokesman

Speaking at a news conference today, Edward Sharmazanov, the ruling Republican Party of Armenia spokesman and a member of parliament, played down the possibility of early elections in Armenia.

He said that even the opposition Armenian National Congress doesn't believe in such a possibility.

"ANC doesn't believe there will be early elections in Armenia," Sharmazanov said. "Alexander Arzumanyan, who was the head of Levon Ter-Petrosyan's election campaign head [in 2008] doesn't believe it is possible."
