Zhamanak: Presidential office bars "vory v zakone" from attending Kanevskoy's funeral in Yerevan

The paper says the Armenian president's office has rejected certain Armenian oligarchs' request to allow "vory v zakone" (high-ranking criminal bosses) from various countries to travel to Armenia for the funeral of Armenian "vor v zakone" Armen Kanevskoy.

Only two people - Ded Hasan's grandson and Kamo Tifliski - have been permitted to attend the ceremony, the paper says.

Ded Hasan, who is among the most known criminal authorities in Russia, has also been denied permission to travel to Armenia, the paper says.

In 2009, Kanevskoy (Armen Harutyunyan) was sentenced to 11 years in prison, but due to health conditions (he was suffering from diabetes) he was kept in a Krasnodar hospital for inmates, says the paper.

His body was flown to Yerevan on Sunday, the paper further says.
