Armenia's pursued 'wrong' foreign policy over Turkey, says oppositionist
The year 2010 proved that Armenia's foreign policy was a wrong one as long as the reconciliation with Turkey is concerned, a senior Heritage party official has said.
Speaking at a press conference today, Ruben Hakobyan, the deputy board chairman of Heritage party, said that as a consequence Turkey largely benefited from the policy Armenia pursued over the rapprochement.
"The year proved that Armenia, Armenia's diplomacy did not get any result from it. Even more, it was Turkey that mainly benefited [from it]," said Hakobyan.
Further, he said that Turkey is effectively using the Armenia-Turkey Protocols to somehow hinder the international recognition of the Armenian Genocide, pointing to the fact that any recognition could harm the normalization.
