Police arrest suspects in Armenian boy stabbing in Krasnodar
The police in the Russian city of Krasnodar have arrested the person who had stabbed an Armenian boy, Yerkramas daily reported.
Bagrat Asatryan, 16, had been attacked and stabbed for 12 times on December 13 as he was hanging out in the city together with his friends.
Currently, the boy's life is not at risk.
Alexander Semenov, the chief of the department of internal affairs in Krasnodar, said besides the main perpetrator, an 18-year-old boy, some 12 others have been identified and taken to the police.
All of them are 18-22-year-old football fans who are all suspected of participation in the attack.
The investigators say they have information that could help identify other perpetrators involved in the assault.
The police say the assault is believed to have nationalistic motives.
