Deputy NA chairman hasn't changed his view over March 1 events

The Deputy Chairman of Armenia's National Assembly Samvel Nikoyan has not changed his view over the March 1, 2008 events.

Speaking to journalists today, Nikoyan said that all those interested in what his response would be to the questions related to those events should read the 150-page report prepared by the ad-hoc committee headed by him.

"I don't have anything new to say. Nothing has changed in my view over that issue," said Nikoyan.

Asked whether it could be said that the perpetrators of the March 1, 2008, events were not punished because of lack of will of the political majority, he said: "It is not the political majority that should have demonstrated political will … No MP has any function in that issue," said he.
