Russia's Putin trains with Armenian, Georgian and Russian athletes in Petersburg

Russia's Prime Minister Vladimir Putin has visited sports complex Moskovski in Saint-Petersburg and taken part in training.

According to the Russian TV channel Vesti, after walking around the complex Putin put on a judo kimono and took part in the training together with Russian, Armenian, and Ossetian athletes.

"Here, we have a full international [group]: There are Georgians, Abkhazians and Ossetians, also from Siberia, Petersburg, and Smolensk. All are jointly working for one single objective, in fact, for Russia's interests," Putin was quoted as saying.

"Our country is proud of you. We back you and are always looking forwards to your victories," said he.

While running at the beginning of the training Putin kept pace with world champions such as Arsen Galstyan, Kiril Denisov and Thea Dongouzashvili.

Later he trained with Arsen Galstyan, Kiril Denisov and Thea Dongouzashvili.
