Arthur Baghdasaryan says his party will play key role in fifth parliament

Leader of Rule of Law party and secretary of the National Security Council Arthur Baghdasaryan says his party will definitely a play a key role in Armenia's fifth parliament.

Speaking at an end-of-year press conference on Monday, he estimated 2010 as a year of positive achievements, with more intellectuals, businessmen and other accomplikshed individuals joining the party.

"We lost public trust in 2008, when we joined the political coalition after the presidential election. A lot of people misunderstood us. But now, three years later, people take a more sober approach to our steps which helped prevent a civil war or in Armenia," he said.

"Rule of Law made a reasonable decision which, we are sure, helped the country move forward because we contributed to a political stability," Baghdasaryan added.
