Traffic police warns drivers to stay sober

Ahead of the New Year holidays, the traffic police warns all drivers to stay sober, saying that there will be no apology for anyone who will be drunk.

Speaking at a news conference on Wednesday, the head of the traffic police department, Colonel Margar Ohanyan, said that the police will be very strict with drivers from December 10 till January 10.

Ohanyan added that only on January 1, 2010, 12 traffic accidents had occurred, leaving three people dead and some 12 injured.

"If drivers are drunk, let them be kind enough to use taxis not to endanger others' lives," the colonel said.
