Presidents visited Yerablur
Armenia's president has visited Yerablur and paid tribute to the memory of those Armenian who lost their lives in the Nagorno-Karabakh war.
According to a press release by the presidential administration, Serzh Sargsyan was accompanied by top government officials.
Yerablur is a military cemetery located on a hilltop in the outskirts of Yerevan. Since 1988, Yerablur has become the home of the Armenian soldiers who lost their lives during the Nagorno-Karabakh war.
Many famous Armenians are buried in this military cemetery including Vazgen Sargsyan, (the Defense and Prime Minister of Armenia from 1992-1999), Monte Melkonyan (famed Armenian military commander in the Nagorno-Karabakh war) and many others.
