Cinema hall in Yerevan screens 5D films
A newly-opened four-seat cinema hall in Yerevan offers a chance to watch the most recent animation films in 5D format.
The 5D format is the advanced, hyper-modern version of the 3D format.
It is achieved through stereo sound effects, a movable platform and a screen with 120 degree curved surface.
The films last from three to five minutes and the special glasses enable the audience to feel such effects as the flow of the wind.
They can also feel the corresponding smell and even pain due to the vibrating seats.
Watching 5D films is a true virtual travel when the children and even the grown-ups can for a moment find themselves in a world of magic and be at the same time part of that world.
The hall has a repertoire of varying genres – mysticism, horror, fantasy, etc. Children can watch such animation films as "Car Race in Southern Pole," "Ali Baba in Search of Treasures".
There are films for teenagers and grown-ups too.
The hall is open from 11 am to midnight seven days a week. There are no fixed watching hours.
Tickets cost 2000 Armenian dram (approx. $5.5).
