Republic party's headquarters again burglarized
Burglars have broken into the Republic party's Yerevan headquarters, party's board member Artak Zeynalyan told Tert.am.
Zeynalyan, who is also a human rights activist, said that when he entered the office on Monday, he found it in mess, with folders torn apart and drawers wide open.
"They obviously were looking for something," he said, adding that the burglars had broken into other offices in addition to his office.
"I am saying this because beside the mess they left in my office … they also looked for some documents in the office of Aram Sargsyan, the board chairman, and in the conference room," Zeynalyan said. He said that no documents are missing at the moment.
"I think this is related to my professional activities," Zeynalyan added.
He also said that the party members have already reported the incident to the police, but they don't know whether or not a criminal case has been launched.
"They have not given any response over the first case either," said he, referring to an earlier incident on December 13 when the perpetrators stole the keyboard and the monitor of his computer and some personal items.
As human rights activist Zeynalyan has taken part in the court hearings over the March 1, 2008 events.
Recently, he also took part in the examination of the case of Vahan Khalafyan, who was reportedly killed during the interrogation at the police station in the town of Charentsavan last year.
