Diaspora communities should be aware of one another's problems – Vardan Asatryan

Tert.am news website, one of the projects of the Media Style company, launched yesterday its new section in the Western Armenian language, Capital daily reported.

In an interview with the newspaper, the company's director, Vardan Asatryan, said the project is not restricted to business interests as its principal goal is to unite the potentials of all Armenians worldwide.

"Mr Asatryan, why Western Armenian? How did you come up with the idea, and what is its purpose?"

"The idea was born over a year ago; we just had some technical issues to resolve. Also, we needed proper specialists – people born in the Diaspora, and we finally managed to do that. Given our big Diaspora community, we were simply obliged to have a web page in Western Armenian. Tert.am is a leading media outlet for the Diaspora and we had to take that fact into consideration. We, Armenians, currently have a huge potential that needs to be used, and to do that we need to be aware of one another's problems. The Western Armenian section of Tert.am will address the problems of not only Armenia but also the different communities of the Diaspora in order to raise awareness of problems of the Armenians living in different parts of the world. That will certainly have a cumulative effect in uniting the potentials of the Armenians worldwide."
