Turks find Armenia and Britain pose equal threat to Turkey
Armenia is among the countries that pose threat to Turkey, a poll has revealed.
According to Turkish daily Aksam, the poll was conducted by the Social-Political Research Centre of the Kadir Has University in 26 states in Turkey with a total of 1000 respondents (500 males and 500 females).
Sixty-seven per cent of the respondents said the number one threat to Turkey is US, while 51% see Israel as a potential threat.
Iran has been named by 8.5% followed by Iraq (7.8%), Greece (4.7%), Russia (3.1%), Armenia (3.1%), Britain (2.6%), EU member states (2.6%), France (2.4) and Syria (1.6%).
A similar poll conducted by the Ankara-based MetroPOLL Strategic and Public Research Center earlier had also ranked US (43%) as number one threat to Turkey, followed by Israel (24%).
Only one per cent of the respondents had considered Armenia as a threat.
