Opposition blames authorities for recent attack against Zeynalyan's office
The opposition Armenian National Congress (ANC) has issued a statement regarding the recent attack against Republic party board member Artak Zeynalyan's office.
"This is the second time over the past two months the office of human rights activist and member of Republic party's political board Artak Zeynalyan comes under attack. Judging by the consequences of the incident, the attackers broke into the office not for burglary; they very probably pursued a goal to search for some documents, considering that Zeynalyan is the legal successor of the March 1 tragedy victims and is actively involved in this and other cases (including the case against Vahan Khalafyan). It follows that the attack was instructed by the authorities, particularly considering that after the first attack the police did not take measures to solve the crime. The Armenian National Congress condemns the incident and announces that the failure not to solve the incident will come to prove that its assumptions were right. "
