Gevorg Kostanyan appointed military prosecutor

Gevorg Kostanyan has been appointed military prosecutor and deputy general prosecutor of the Republic of Armenia.

Kostanyan has replaced Armen Khachaturyan in this position.

Since 2008 Kostanyan has been the chairman of the committee that monitors the fight against corruption in Armenia.

Since 2004 he has been the authorized representative of Armenia's government to the International Court of Human Rights.

Kostanyan, 33, graduated from the Yerevan State University in 1999, the Department of Law. Currently he lectures at the same department and simultaneously works on his doctoral degree.

Kostanyan is married and has two children. He is not a member of a political party.
