Armenian president to visit Cyprus and Greece

Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan is starting official visits to Cypus and Greece. On January 17, he will leave for Cyprus. There, he will have meetings with that country's president Dimitris Christofias, Archbishop Chrysostomos II and Head of the Cypriot House of Representatives Marios Garoyan. The president is also scheduled to attend the opening of the Armenian-Cypriot business conference. On the last day of his visit – January 18 - Sargsyan will attend the Armenian Genocide memorial in Larnaka and lay flowers on the monument eternalizing the memory of the Genocide victims.

Thereafter, the president will leave for Greece to meet with the county's president, Carlus Papulias, parliament speaker Philippos Petsalnikos, Prime Minister Yorgos Papandreou, as well as the archbishop of Athens and all Greece, Hieronymus II.

Sargsyan will also meet the representatives of the Armenian community in Athens.

The president will return to Yerevan on Thursday, January 20.
