Tigran Karapetyan to deliver ultimatum at rally

The leader of the People's Party, Tigran Karapetyan, is organizing a rally on Wednesday to address the current situation in the country and speak of the steps to be taken by the authorities.

As the party's press service reported, Karapetyan is going to deliver an ultimatum at the rally, calling on the authorities to take steps to improve the existing situation. Otherwise, the report said, he may call for extraordinary elections at the next rally to be held on February 28.

The rally is scheduled at 15:00 pm outside the building of Matenadaran.

The Yerevan municipality has authorized the event.

The party's previous rally was held on January 7. Other rallies were also held in the regions of Armenia.

Tigran Karapetyan is the director of the ALM TV channel which has recently lost its broadcast license. The TV company will not be airing programs beginning January 20.
