Artists Union hosts exhibitions dedicated to Andrey Sakharov and Momik

An exhibition entitled "Andrey Sakharov: Anxiety and hope" opened yesterday at the Artists' Union of Armenia.

The event aims to shed a new light on the life and activities of the eminent Soviet nuclear physicist and dissident Andrey Sakharov.
The exhibition, dedicated to Sakharov's 90th birthday, has been organized by the Armenian Foreign Ministry and the Council of Europe.
Eight photos, as well as famous sayings by the great humanist are displayed in the exhibition hall.

Another exhibition dedicated to the 750th birthday of the Armenian medieval miniature painter Momik is held in a separate hall of the union.

The event organizers are Pyunik charity organization, Lorva Dzor union of fellow countrymen and the Artists' Union of Armenia.
Both exhibitions will run through this weekend.
