Azeri Ambassador to Russia warns actors against starring in film featuring Armenian-Azerbaijani relations

In a January 22 publication, the Yerkramas newspaper, a periodical of Russia Armenians, said Azerbaijani Aambassador to Russia Polad Bulbuloglu was having meetings with Azertbaijani actors in Moscow theatres to warn them of the responsibility to the Azerbaijani state in case of agreeing to star in the film "Interrupted song".

Many scenes of the film had been finally shot in December 2010 involving an actor of Azerbaijani descent, says a statement issued by Tigran Grigoryan, a spokesman for the filmmakers. The latter, however, has reportedly refused to take part in the project because of the Azerbaijani media's recent campaign.

The idea of producing the documentary belongs to a group of young Armenians residing in Moscow. It features the century-old reality that serves as an obstacle to the peaceful co-existence of the Armenian and Azerbaijani nations.

The fist screening of the film is scheduled for May 2012.
