Early in the morning on January 24, the Federal Security Service of Russia made some inquiries about a possible terrorist act and a suicide bomber, the Russian news agency Rosbalt reported, citing the sources of law enforcement agencies.

Instead of Domodedovo airport, security officials reportedly conducted search operations in Zelenograd but their efforts turned out fruitless.

The blast at Moscow's Domodedovo airport occurred at 16:30 pm local time. The unknown suicide bomber blew himself up in the vicinity of Asia café.

Official data suggest that the blast left 31 people dead and some 130 injured.

A criminal case has been filed under Article 205 of the Russian Criminal Code.
