European Court finds Turkey guilty of human rights violation
The European Court of Human Rights (ECtHR) has satisfied citizen J. Sh.'s claim against the Turkish authorities.
As the Turkish news agency ANF reports, J. Sh. claimed that as a minor he had been subjected to torture by Turkish law enforcers.
The ECtHR ruled that Turkey was in breach of Article 3 of the European Convention of Human Rights (torture and inhuman or degrading treatment), which envisages a compensation of 25,000 euros to the aggrieved.
