Turkish president instructs his country's Audit Board Chamber to deal with Dink's murder case
Turkish President Abdullah Gul has instructed his country's State Audit board to launch an investigation into the murder of Hrant Dink, the editor-in-chief of the Agos Armenian-Turkish weekly, the Turkish president's official website reported.
The State Audit Board is not vested with the court functions and deals only with urgent matters.
Gul had earlier told journalists in Strasburg that he planned to take action in Dink's murder case upon his return to Turkey.
The Turkish leader also expressed regret that his country had failed to take enough measures to protect Dink.
